A-1 is seeking an experienced commercial service electrician to join our service team supporting our Greater New Orleans and North Shore clients on a full-time basis. Skills and Abilities: • Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the electrical trade. • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations. • Knowledge of electrical application for high and low voltage electric system. • Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical system equipment and components. • Technology inclined. • Skilled in both verbal and written communication. • Ability to work indoors, outdoors, in restricted spaces amounting to static postures/positions which must be held for extended periods of time. • Ability to work flexible schedule, such as nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and take emergency calls. • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems independently. • Able to read One Line and Schematic Drawings. Requirements and Qualifications: • Completed electrician apprenticeship. • Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes. • Valid New Orleans Class D license. • Large Scale Commercial projects. • Electrical Service projects. • Ability to read blueprints. • Must be able to comply to a criminal background check and drug test. Preferred: • CDL class A license • OSHA 10 certified Physical Requirements: • Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring. • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding. • Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. • Must be able to climb ladders.
