Industrial Electrician

State-licensed Journeyman and Apprentice Electricians with industrial (specifically substations), renewable energy, and/or oil and gas experience will be the preferred candidate(s). Eligible applicant(s) must be able to work safely in a construction environment and maintain customer satisfaction while performing the duties of this position. Principal Duties: • Install terminations on underground medium and high voltage cables. • Safely install HV potential grounding systems. • Install ground grid, cad weld/thermowell shots, bonding structures and equipment, use of hydraulic compression tool as needed. • Understand installation of static shield and all grounding materials. • Install underground & above ground raceways ranging up to 8″ PVC and rigid. Level and squared. • Install small equipment, boxes, supports, lighting, receptacles for substations. • Assist groups with installation of cable trenches for raceways and layout. • Assist fabrication groups with tubing buss, understand materials, connection points and hardware. • Fit and install cable buss to equipment and tubing buss, understand materials, connection points and hardware. • Install and pre-calibrate substation switches for client inspections. • Fit and install overhead conductors within the substation. • Skilled personnel for terminating & labeling conductors throughout substation. Control & Power circuits. • Use bucket trucks, man lifts and able to work on elevated tasks. • Use line/boom truck to set small structures and equipment. • Work and assist the crane contractor on critical lifts for major equipment and structures. • Operate HV testing equipment such as Hi-Pot and VLF testing.
