Job Title: Sr. Supervisor / Master Electrician Facilities Technician, Facilities Job Code: 25396 Job Location: Salt Lake City, UT Work Schedule: 9/80-Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Master Electrician Technician to join our Facilities team as the Senior Supervisor of the Power, Refrigeration & Test team. In this critical role, you will oversee and manage the electrical, HVAC, and operations repair and test teams to ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. You will be responsible for leading a diverse team, coordinating maintenance and repair activities, managing projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, proven leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and excellence. Essential Functions: • Lead and manage a team of electricians, HVAC technicians, and operations repair and test personnel. Provide mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a high-performing and cohesive team. • Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, HVAC units, and other facility equipment. Ensure all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Plan, organize, and execute projects related to electrical, HVAC, and operational systems. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful and timely completion. • Identify and resolve complex electrical and HVAC issues. Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of facility assets. • Ensure all team activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures. • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services. Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and manage service agreements. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and project statuses. Prepare and present reports on team performance, project progress, and equipment condition to management. • Allocate and manage resources effectively, including tools, equipment, and materials, to ensure the team can perform their duties efficiently. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance and repair operations. • Lead the team in responding to emergency situations, such as power outages or equipment failures, to ensure minimal disruption to facility operations. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 4 years relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. • Must hold a valid Master Electrician license or certification as required by the state or local jurisdiction. • Valid driver’s license Preferred Additional Skills: • Understand basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution. • Proficient knowledge of job area. • Additional certifications in HVAC, project management (e.g., PMP), or facilities management (e.g., FMP, CFM). • Extensive knowledge of advanced electrical systems, energy management systems, and modern HVAC technologies. • Experience working in a large-scale industrial or commercial facility. • Proficiency in using maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS), project management tools, and other relevant software applications. • Experience in developing and delivering training programs for technical staff Work Environment: • This position requires working both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in extreme temperatures. • The role may involve standing, walking, and climbing ladders for extended periods. • Must be available for on-call duty and respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours rotating through group setting. #LI-CS3 L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. Electrical Engineer Location: Salt Lake City, UT, Duluth, GA, Springfield, MA or Carlsbad, CA (Working onsite Monday - Friday) Start date ASAP Direct hire, Full Time Salary range $88 - 125KYR DOE Job Summary: The Electrical Group designs and builds electrical systems for industrial food and beverage production facilities. The team is responsible for the design, power load calculations, equipment selection, vendor and subcontractor management, and documentation of electrical systems for these facilities. This role offers a mix of design, project management, and fieldwork responsibilities in the construction and manufacturing sectors. Key Responsibilities: Design and Calculation: Design electrical systems for power distribution (208v, 480v, and medium voltage), emergency and standby systems, and lighting, including fire alarm and low voltage systems. Documentation and Coordination: Prepare necessary design calculations (e.g., short circuit, arc flash, load, and voltage drop), manage project documentation, and coordinate with other trades for fixture placement. Systems Design: Work on lighting designs for food processing, fire alarm systems per codes (NFPA 72/101, IBC), and low voltage systems (LAN, phones, cameras, etc.). Code Expertise: Ensure compliance with electrical codes (NEC, NFPA, IBC). Bid Documents and Procurement: Develop bid documents, layouts, schedules, and procure materials/equipment like switchgear, transformers, and light fixtures. Fieldwork: Travel to customer sites for fieldwork, project review, and meetings (up to 25%). Support and Research: Contribute to standard development, research electrical systems, and support talent growth within the team. Required Education and Experience: Education: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience: 5-10 years in electrical systems design for building power, lighting, fire alarm systems, and low voltage systems and experience in electrical bid documents and procurement. Experience with AutoCAD or Revit is required. Additional Skills: Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IBC codes, and relevant manufacturing or construction experience.
