Electrician

J2 Company is hiring a Skilled Electrician with growth opportunities. This individual will have knowledge of construction and electrical needs and issues. They will be able to do basic troubleshooting, as well as install, repair and maintain electrical equipment while constantly demonstrating safe work practices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing professional electrical services to government facilities, commercial buildings, and industrial systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of construction and electrical systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot, install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment. Responsibilities: • Perform skilled electrical work in accordance with industry standards • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations • Manage relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients • Specify milestones for success and deliverables • Maintain oversight of electrical projects to meet objectives • Adhere to local, state, and federal codes and regulations • Provide leadership and support to team members • Communicate effectively both verbally and electronically • Familiarity with commercial electrical trade Requirements: • 2+ years of electrical experience • Valid driver's license • High School Diploma or GED • Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) • OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid trained • Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in various environments • Strong problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications: • Must be able to work in US • Four-year technical degree in electrical field • Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps • Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems • Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems • Knowledge of PLC controls Competencies: • Team Building • Technical Capacity • Communication Proficiency • Problem Solving/Analysis Education: • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience This is a full-time position with benefits including 401(k), dental insurance, health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, professional development assistance, vision insurance, and access to J2U Apprenticeship and Training Programs. Job Responsibilities: Assist the Lead Installation Technician with the installation of HVAC related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications. Support Lead Installer in: Installing HVAC related equipment. Installing Sheet metal duct systems. Connecting gas lines to heating equipment. Cutting and threading pipes. Wiring both line voltage and low voltage to heating equipment. Installing copper refrigerant line to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: EPA Certified or pursuing. A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required. HVAC certification or Diploma preferred. Prior work experience in the HVAC industry as an HVAC Install Apprentice. Valid driver’s license, and approved to drive by Company’s insurance carrier.
