Carpentry Crew - Subcontractor

We seek subcontractor (1099) construction professionals with established carpentry expertise to partner with us on our residential building & remodeling projects. You will primarily be responsible for delivering the finished product to the satisfaction of the contract specifications, customer expectations, building officials, and the Archadeck franchise. Previous carpentry experience with residential projects is required, as are strong interpersonal communication skills, excellent customer service skills and a strong work ethic and the ability to follow our documented processes. RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinate your employees to ensure they understand and work to construction drawings in compliance with the specified details • Check construction drawings with sales design drawings to ensure adequacy and accuracy of information • Check materials delivered against take-off and inform franchisee of shortages to allow for the prompt delivery of missing items and uninterrupted workflow • Establish and follow a schedule with the franchisee • Maintain an orderly job site by cleaning up daily and assuring safety practices are utilized • Maintain positive relations with customers • Refer all problems to the franchisee for resolution • Contact franchisee if necessary to resolve immediately • Comply with the Subcontractor Agreement as signed QUALIFICATIONS • Clean and neat appearance • Good communication and people skills • Willing to learn and follow documented processes • Ability to work specified details and quality assurance checklist independently • A thorough background in good carpentry techniques, framing, and trim, exterior and interior, the foundation through roof • Ability to read and interpret plans and check take-offs • Ability to lay out footings or foundations • Ability to determine elevations Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour Founded in 1980, Archadeck Outdoor Living is North America's largest designer and builder of custom decks, screened porches, patios, sunrooms, outdoor living rooms, outdoor kitchens and other outdoor living structures. Carpenter, Corrections

We are looking for a Carpenter, Corrections at Public Works! This classification is responsible for performing skilled carpentry work related to the construction, maintenance, and repair of County buildings, structures, and facilities under the Public Works Department. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Supervises a crew of inmates assigned to construction and maintenance tasks; provides instruction on proper carpentry techniques and enforces safety and security protocols. • Monitors inmate work activities to maintain compliance with correctional facility rules and ensure a secure working environment. • Conducts routine maintenance of carpentry tools and equipment; identifies and reports faulty or unsafe equipment for repair or replacement. • Maintains accurate inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies; initiates requests and procures new or replacement materials as needed. • Obtains price quotes and vendor bids; prepares cost estimates for carpentry and construction projects, including materials and labor. • Reads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and architectural drawings to carry out assigned work. • Constructs and installs concrete forms; places embedded items and pours, levels, and finishes concrete. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • High School Diploma or equivalent and three (3) years of experience in carpentry and general construction, or a related field; • Or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Correctional Officer Certification within one (1) year of hire.
