Job Description: • Responsible for installing, repairing, maintaining and/or replacing all systems needed to maintain the safety and security of College Buildings. • Responsible for selecting materials and techniques used to maintain and repair doors, door hardware, windows, floors, ceilings, partitions, office equipment/furniture, and classrooms. • Plans, lays out, assembles, and installs materials, equipment, and fixtures as required by scope of work. • Responds to departmental requests, which may include, but are not limited to, securing office equipment, installing shelves, rearranging furniture. Performs related duties as assigned. • Coordinating and setting up for special events on campus. Requirements: • Safely use electric tools (saws, drills, sanders, etc.) as well as hand tools. • Rekey doors, duplicate keys, repair locks. • Able to effectively read and follow blueprints. • Build cabinets, shelves, walls, closets, desks, various items. • Oversee student workers; arrange schedules; delegate tasks.
