Candidate Qualifications Able to climb, step, walk on rough terrain, and negotiate equipment entry/exit (may include climbing, reaching, pulling, bending). Appropriately qualified with necessary certifications and licenses to operate earthmoving equipment, including crane certification. Capable of reading plans and grades. Experienced in working on complex public work projects. Responsibilities Operate heavy construction equipment to move materials, earth, and heavy objects such as forms, steel, rebar, etc. Excavate and grade jobsites for buildings, roads, tanks, underground structures, etc. Adhere to safe load limits. Physical Demands Constant motion over various terrains. Full neck motion for unrestricted vision. Sitting in prone position for long periods, using both hands and feet for equipment operation. Perform equipment inspections, including greasing, fluid checks, and safety log completion. Lift items up to 50 lbs, such as fuel cans and hydraulic oil containers. Perform other duties as assigned. Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions. Reliable transportation and willingness to work all shifts and overtime are required. Attendance must be satisfactory.
