JOMA Residential Carpenter Responsibilities: • Report to the main office each morning for daily assignments • Clock into each job and task separately in project management software • Arrive at job sites and review assigned tasks • Clarify instructions with the Production Team, if necessary • Perform demolition, framing, siding, millwork, and cabinetry tasks as needed • Communicate with other members of the Team • Make a list of needed materials before they are needed • Relay communication from the homeowner to the Production Team • Communicate progress updates to the on-site Project Manager at the end of the day • Protect, clean, and keep job sites safely organized daily • Keep work vehicles clean and organized • Maintain vehicle inventory of essential tools, supplies, and OSHA safety materials • Attend OSHA safety meetings and complete all assigned training Requirements: • At least 5 years experience in general construction and carpentry • Experience in framing, decks, windows, doors, siding, and millwork • Good communication skills and be willing to ask questions when in doubt • Ability to read plans and scale off them as needed • Ability to receive instructions and follow directions • Ability to understand and utilize basic math skills • Arrive to work in good hygiene and dressed appropriately • Supply personal hand tools and basic cordless/electrical tools • Good time management and the desire to grow professionally • Ability to work independently or as part of a team with a positive attitude • Clean driver’s license, background check, and drug test • Abide by OSHA safety protocol at all times • Wear PPE when necessary • Must report accidents and near-misses to the supervisor • * Basic experience with smartphones, texting, and emails • Be able to spend the day standing, climbing, bending, and kneeling. • Includes going into crawlspaces and attics • Includes going up ladders and scaffolding up to 30’ • Be able to lift up to 70 pounds at a time • Be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains
