Your Role in Our Mission: Our Technicians are the face of Mohawk Valley Handyman. You’re the boots on the ground, serving people in their homes and building a relationship through trust. Your work is fundamental to what we do. As a foreman you are the leader of your crew, and responsible for ensuring the proper and timely completion of projects. The primary responsibilities of a Carpentry Foreman are to: - Perform and lead work that is scheduled for you and follow the estimated work order provided. Make suggestions and improvements within scope to make the job more efficient and to achieve better results. - Complete work in a timely and efficient manner, following our Standards of Operation. - Look for and note to both the customer and the office, other potential items in need of repair or items that may need attention in the future. - Take photos before, midway and after, label and upload them to the job on Housecall Pro. - Meet regularly for training and team meetings. Lead Training Sessions. - Document Add-Ons that the customer may request, with photos, details and measurements for the Sales Team. - Learn from Industry Experts and Reference Materials to further hone your skills. -Teach and instruct other technicians on best practices and skills. Job Requirements: - Reports to the Production Manager and is responsible for providing the best experience possible for their clients. - Has skills and knowledge for advanced carpentry projects, has intermediate plumbing,or masonry skills. Has an expert level of technical experience in the field. Requires minimum 5-7 years of prior experience.. - Is a self-motivated individual with willingness to learn to excel in customer relations and time management. - Has their own basic hand tools and reliable transportation. (Specialty tools will be provided) - Can work on a ladder, use hand and power tools safely, and lift 75+ lbs. -The following projects will regularly be assigned to our carpentry crew: Window and Door Installation, Deck Builds, Deck Resurfacing, Bathroom Remodels, Trim Carpentry, Handrails and Outdoor Steps - Is willing to offer feedback and bright new ideas on how to maximize productivity. - Is committed to caring about the customer and making them know that he or she is important. - Can utilize software to manage projects and collect payment - Is willing and able to teach other technicians how to properly complete tasks Carpentry Foreman - Technician Pay & Benefits: • Performance Bonus Earning Ability - Make between $35-45 an hour with bonuses • Guaranteed Hourly Pay of $28 per hour • Drive a clean and professional company owned truck with a well designed tool trailer • 7 PTO Days off per Year – Paid at $200/day • Typically work a 4 day work week, only increasing to 5 days during the busiest seasons • $20 bonus for every 5 star review from a project you worked on. $40 Bonus for each 5 star review mentioning you by name.
