Straightway Construction, Inc. – Bismarck, ND $15-24 an hour DOE Job Type: Full-time - this is a long term, full-time position on our team, not a sub-contractor opportunity. We are looking for a carpenter to join our team. Our company has been in the area for almost 10 years. We are looking for an experienced commercial carpenters who want long term careers in construction and will take the initiative to eventually work their way to become a job superintendent. Our projects are located all over the Bismarck/Mandan and upper Midwest area. The majority of their day will be working at a job site and coordinating with staff and vendors. Carpenter Responsibilities: • Make sure quality standards are met • Communicate progress, potential changes, and problems effectively • Follow the job schedule • Keep the job site secure and clean • Work efficiently and safely • Follow blueprints and building plans to meet the needs of clients • Install structures and fixtures, such as windows and molding • Measure, cut, or shape steel, wood, plastic, and other materials • Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes • Help erect, level, and install building framework with the aid of rigging hardware • Inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures • Instruct and direct construction helpers Carpenter Qualifications: • Must have three years or more of carpentry experience • Quality Control, high end remodels preferred • Must be efficient in all phases of carpentry Personal qualities required to be able to perform the duties are, but not limited to: • Great communication skills, teamwork, ethics, dependability, ability to take direction, adaptability, a sense of urgency (need to get the job done) and be safety and security minded.
