Construction Management Specialist

Project Operations Specialist As a Project Operations Specialist, you will support the project manager and senior staff to ensure that company policies and procedures are followed in the field. This includes managing safety protocols, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with design standards. This role may involve leading a team or working independently on specific projects or areas of a larger project. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising trade contractors, enforcing high safety standards, and managing weekly safety inspections. • Supervise the work of trade contractors to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. • Enforce high safety standards, including maintaining a clean job site and managing weekly safety inspections. • Inspect the quality of work to ensure compliance with design standards and take corrective action when necessary. • Coordinate and manage general conditions work and project logistics. • Review vendor drawings and submittals, and collaborate with A/E and subcontractors to ensure work is in compliance with the document plan. • Review contractors' Quality Plan, prepare and distribute daily reports, and resolve jurisdictional disputes. Responsibilities: • Adhere and promote company SAFETY measures at all times • Manual labor associated with installing, repairing, and servicing conventional, deep well, and HDD ground beds • Loading and unloading equipment and materials • Prepare construction site and clean up when job is completed • Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, tampers, and rakes • SAFELY drive trucks and pull trailers with equipment and materials to construction sites • SAFELY operate equipment (backhoe, trencher, mini excavator, auger, and forklift) • Perform routine/preventative maintenance and inspection on equipment • Help clean and organize truck and warehouse area • Provide and maintain accurate paperwork • Travel required. Typically 4-5 weeks at a time. Daily per diem $50 (paid out weekly) and own hotel room when traveling. Minimum Qualifications: • Basic computer and math skills • Must be able to pass DOT drug test and physical • Knowledge of DOT regulations for drivers and trucks • This position requires significant travel (domestic only), and will require you to be gone 4-5 weeks at a time • Able to work outdoors in all types of weather and may be exposed to extremes of climate and temperatures Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in heavy equipment operation and general maintenance of excavators, front-end loaders, dozers, and skid steers • Experience in the corrosion industry, pipeline construction, or underground utilities • TWIC card • Class A CDL with an acceptable driving record Other Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: • Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, such as trenches, pits, and manholes • Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly • Must be able to climb stairs, ramps and ladders regularly • Sitting, standing, walking, or driving for long periods of time (1-3 hours) • Must be able to see, hear, and respond quickly to dangerous situations • Primarily working outdoors, including extreme weather conditions • Working around moving machinery, vehicles, and heavy equipment • Wearing personal protective gear most of the day (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, safety vest, FRCs) Any compensation range provided for a role is an estimate determined by available market data.
