As a UBC Michigan Carpenter you may erect, install, repair structures, fixtures of wood, plywood, metal studs, drywall, and weld using carpenter hand tools and power tools all while making sure to conform to local building codes Specific Responsibilities: • Safety, professionalism, productive • Installing foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs using materials such as wood, metal studs, and concrete • Fitting and installing window frames, doors, door frames, door hardware, interior and exterior trim, and drywall instillation • Erecting scaffolding and being comfortable working at heights • Familiarization in blueprints, sketches, or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and materials required • Welding, cutting and pile driving Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in carpentry or construction related experience • Ability to comprehend schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans, and other specifications • Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts • Valid drivers License, reliable transportation, willingness to travel Company DescriptionWe are the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters working together with our Partnering Contractors and many Journeyman, Apprentices, and Retirees.
