Carpenters for Concrete Construction - Detroit, MI

Ceco Concrete Construction is the nation’s largest concrete subcontractor. Primary Responsibilities • Perform general construction labor to include jobsite clean-up and moving of materials by hand. • Operating motorized equipment including power tools, saws, hammers, nails, and bolts. • Work requires alert individuals with good balance and physical strength. • Assist in pouring of vertical concrete. • Install reshores per instructions. • Ability to quickly learn and assist in; vertical installations and removal, framing and decking operations, pouring of vertical concrete, distinguishing between different types of material and equipment. • Read a tape measure. • Working during inclement weather, could be exposed to extreme cold and heat, noise and dust from construction operations depending upon project site. Minimum Qualifications • Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds of material and up to 90 pounds of material with assistance, if requested. • Frequently walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing. • Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts. Preferred Experience • Preference given to candidates with a minimum of 12 months of formwork / concrete construction work experience as a Carpenter at meets or exceeds performance expectations. • 30 Hour OSHA Card desired. Commercial Carpenter

We are looking for a qualified commercial Carpenter. Your job will entail working in commercial settings predominantly based in healthcare for which we are looking for an individual who can work with our staff & customers in a professional manner. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the medical environment under hospital guidelines. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards of the industry is essential. The goal is to contribute to the expansion of a growing construction company with opportunity for interior advancement. Skills • Proven experience as a commercial carpenter • Hands-on experience in working in rough carpentry, metal framing, drywall & ACT installation • Knowledge of door, frame & hardware installation • Drywall finishing experience would be a bonus • Ability to read technical documents and drawings • Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times • Strong English-speaking skill is preferred but not required • Good physical condition and endurance • High school diploma Must have minimum of 3-5 years' experience and own transportation. Wages based on experience, $25 -$30 per hour.
