About the position The Carpenter position at Fluor involves constructing, erecting, and repairing buildings and structures using various materials. The Carpenter will work on a variety of projects, including renovations and new constructions, and may need to work flexible hours to meet project demands. Responsibilities • Construct, erect and repair buildings and other structures made of wood, steel and other materials. , • Perform required tasks to complete building/room renovations of varying complexity. , • Ability to patch, tape & texture and paint. , • Build concrete forms, scaffolding, bridges, shelters, and other structures. , • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings. , • Assist other trades during construction projects. , • Conform to building codes and other regulations. , • Perform layout including selecting, measuring, marking and cutting materials, planning sequences and methods of work. , • Assist journeyman with these duties. , • Work after hours, weekends, public holidays and possibly shift work to ensure 24 hour coverage to the facility. Requirements • Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph. , • Experience in construction and carpentry work. , • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings. , • Knowledge of building codes and regulations. Commercial Concrete Carpenter

General description: The Concrete Carpenter will perform a variety of carpentry tasks. This individual will work with others and will be under the direction of a Foreman for the successful completion of each building. This person works very diligently with their hands and pays close attention to detail. Tasks include erecting and setting forms for concrete structures, foundations, buildings, and site work per specifications and drawings. This may include concrete tilt-wall forms, symon forms and/or structural forms for columns, decks, elevator cores, parking garages and other cast-in-place concrete structures. Responsibilities • Fabricate and assemble tilt up panels. • Able to form footings, column pads and other structural concrete. • Install and align embedded items such as anchor bolts, inserts and lifting hardware. • Assist with layout as needed. • Strip forms after panels are poured. • Maintain and keep track of tools. Requirements • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings. • Physical strength and stamina to perform tasks as needed. • Knowledge of tilt up panels and the process (preferred) • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation • Able to work weekends if needed. • Able to provide basic hand tools for carpentry. • OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain one. Working Conditions • Work outside in various working conditions. • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
