JOB DESCRIPTION Peak’s Carpenter will be skilled at building different items with wood. The carpenter will do a wide variety of jobs, including the remodel of modular homes, basic home and electrical repairs, flooring, and basic plumbing repairs. They are often responsible for identifying materials that need to be used, finding the right suppliers for that material, and working with a team of specialists who have the necessary skills and expertise to build and complete those projects. The essential job functions include, but are not limited to • Installing wooden structures such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists and stud work. • Designing and installing cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall and insulation. • Adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, hinges and closures. • Selecting lumber by size and strength to suit each job. • Calculating the number of fasteners required for each job. • Reading blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects and building code recommendations. Compensation Information Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
