Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and carpentry, with the ability to restore, build, and install various structures and fixtures. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and performing heavy lifting as needed. The Carpenter/Laborer will work on a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities • Restore and renovate existing structures to meet client specifications. • Build frameworks and structures using wood, metal, or other materials. • Install cabinets, doors, windows, and other fixtures with precision. • Use hand tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling materials. • Ensure all installations are plumb and level according to project requirements. • Assist in construction estimating by providing input on material needs and project timelines. • Perform plastering tasks as required for finishing touches on projects. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Requirements • Proven experience as a carpenter or laborer in the construction industry. • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by job tasks. • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices. • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is a plus. • Previous experience in cabinet installation is preferred but not mandatory. • A maintenance person background is advantageous for this role. • Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
