Your expertise will contribute to the successful execution of high-quality concrete work, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and to the required specifications. Key Responsibilities • Formwork Construction: Build and install wooden and metal forms for concrete pours, ensuring they are structurally sound and accurately shaped according to project specifications. • Concrete Finishing: Perform finishing tasks on concrete surfaces, including smoothing, leveling, and applying sealants as required to ensure high-quality results. • Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other tradespeople on site to coordinate work activities and timelines effectively. • Material Handling: Safely handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment related to concrete construction. • Site Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices on-site, participating in safety meetings and promoting a culture of safety among site personnel. • Quality Control: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments and corrections as needed. • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any challenges encountered during the construction process, ensuring that work proceeds smoothly and efficiently. • Maintenance of Tools: Maintain all carpentry tools and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues or repairs needed promptly. Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in carpentry or related field preferred. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in concrete carpentry or related construction fields. • Strong understanding of concrete construction methods, materials, and industry standards. • Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment, including framing hammers, saws, and power tools. • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a commitment to collaborating positively with others. • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
