Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The Carpenter will be responsible for ensuring high-quality workmanship while adhering to safety standards. Duties • Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, walls, and roofs using wood and other materials. • Perform frame carpentry, including building walls, floors, and roofs. • Install drywall and finish surfaces to ensure a polished appearance. • Execute fixture installation for cabinets, countertops, and other built-in furniture. • Carry out trim carpentry tasks including molding and trim work for both interior and exterior applications. • Engage in masonry work as needed for structural support or aesthetic purposes. • Conduct mold remediation efforts to ensure safe living conditions in affected areas. • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively while maintaining safety protocols. • Provide maintenance person services for various home improvement projects as required. Experience • Proven experience in carpentry or related fields is essential. • Familiarity with masonry techniques is a plus. • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. • Experience with drywall installation and finishing is highly desirable. • Knowledge of stucco application techniques is an advantage. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately is beneficial. Key Responsibilities • Carpentry Work • Fabricate custom woodwork including cabinets, trim, furniture, and built-ins per project specs and drawings. • Operate hand tools and woodworking machinery to cut, shape, and assemble wood components with precision. • Measure and cut materials to exact dimensions, ensuring quality fit and finish. • Assist with on-site installation of custom millwork, cabinetry, and architectural features. • Apply finishes, stains, and sealants in alignment with quality standards. • Collaborate with carpenters, designers, and project managers to meet deadlines and maintain high craftsmanship. • Continuously enhance skills through hands-on experience and training. • Communication & Documentation • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure alignment and smooth project execution. • Maintain a united and positive team presence; represent the Crownover brand with pride. • Complete required daily logs and project documentation as assigned. • Equipment Maintenance • Perform pre-operation checks and basic maintenance on tools and machinery. • Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and in good working order. • Safety & Compliance • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace both in the shop and on-site. • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times. • Report incidents or equipment issues immediately to leadership.
