Carpentry/Roofing Repair Technician

About us Dolly's Roofing Inc. is located in Seneca, SC. We are a family owned and operated businss. Our goal is to serve the community and keep our customers happy. We are always looking for qualified, and hardworking individuals to join our team. Our company is seeking a Carpenter/Repair Technician to construct, erect, install, and/or repair structuresand fixtures made of wood e.g. concrete forms and building frameworks, including partitions, joists, studding, rafters, roofing, wood stairways, window and door frames. Additional skills such as installing cabinets, siding, drywall and batt or roil insulation are also a plus. Having professional communication skills is required to be able to speak with customers and employees effectively. Our ideal candidate is comfortable working in diverse settings, posessing great hand dexterity and an eye for detail. Good working knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. The use of all necessary tools is a must. S/He must be capable of working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards. Starting compensation is $20 - $27 an hour. Commensurate with prior experience. Responsibilities: • Assist the Repair Technician Lead in completing roofing repairs and punch list items. • Utilize skills with various building materials and tools. • Perform minor repairs to ensure projects are completed to customer satisfaction. • Follow safety procedures and ensure all work complies with company standards. • Document repairs made and materials used during project completion. • Communicate with the Operations Coordinator to stay on schedule and address project needs. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools and vehicles • Document work performed, including photos and repair notes Requirements and Qualifications: • Must be able to pass background check and drug test • High School Diploma • Significant work history as a carpenter • Hands-on experience working with carpentry materials • Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to fully grasp requirements. • Accuracy taking measurements and calculating the size and amount of material needed for a project. • Skilled in use of all tools necessary to cut, shape, and smooth lumber and other material (e.g. fiberglass) according to measurements. • Able to install items such as siding, cabinets, drywall, and insulation is a plus. • Skills needed to lay out roofing, drywall, ensuring they are level, plumb, and installed with as little waste as possible. • Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed. • Ability to assemble/build scaffolding and other needed construction structures. • Willingness to comply with safety guidelines at all times • Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8 hour shift • Monday to Friday • Overtime • Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
