Roto-Rooter Corporation is looking for a Production Welder at our facility in Des Moines, Iowa. Responsibilities: In this position you will weld aluminum and steel components to create final assemblies for our production and assembly departments. You will also assist in the set up and tear down of welding projects when needed. • Retrieve specified parts from storage to work area manually or by using a forklift • Fit parts together on a bench while following work instructions and blueprints • Align parts and verify alignment, clearance of parts with micrometers, scale, and gauges if needed. Requirements of the Welding Foreman: • 3-5+ years of Supervisory experience in a production or fabrication setting • Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, including MIG Welding and plasma cutting. • Great at designing and building production jigs • Proficient in reading blueprints and interpreting technical specifications. • Familiarity with codes and standards related to fabrication work. • Assure a safe shop operation by implementing safety protocols. • Ability to operate various tools and equipment used in fabrication processes. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Strong organizational and leadership abilities. • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, project managers, and clients.
