Duties and Responsibilities: • This is a non-exhaustive overview of the job duties for this position. • Be able to demonstrate the skills to pass an AWS D15.1 welding certification test within 30 calendar days of employment using E 71 Ti Flux Core wire and Co2 for a shielding gas. • Must be able to perform some general repairs aided by a more skilled carmen/ welder. • Jack cars, dissemble truck components and reassemble in a timely and safe manner. • Remove and reassemble raft components in a timely and safe manner. • Operate an air arc and plasma cutter. • Must come to work and be efficient, quality minded and very safety driven. • Positive Attitude. • Regular and consistent engagement, participation and promotion of Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors are a requirement for this position. • Regular and Predictable attendance and punctuality are a requirement for this position. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent. • Must be experienced in FCAW process, 2G, 3G, and 4G positions • Must be able to pass AWS D15.1 weld test • Must be able to work at heights up to 16’ and in small tight places • Knowledge of safe work practices and prior experience fitting metal is a plus • Company provides required Personal Protective Equipment including a Safety Boots Allowance Program.
