Fabrication, repair, and modifying of county owned equipment, barricades, sanders, plows, and wings, etc. 2. Fabrication, repair and modifying of equipment, facilities, and fixtures in other department’s buildings, including the Social Services Building and Law Enforcement Center, etc. 3. Performs welding on the construction, repair, and modifications of bridges and associated structures, including guardrail. 4. Operates Class A equipment in a variety of road maintenance, repair, and construction duties. 5. Operates truck with snow blade, wing, and sander; manipulates controls, lowers/raises blade and spreads materials to remove snow and ice from road surfaces; mounts and dismounts plow and blades. 6. Performs required manual labor tasks involved in road, bridge, tile, or culvert maintenance, repair, and construction projects, as a crew member, such as; digging post holes, putting up and taking down barricades, patching pavements, painting and repairing barricades, shoveling snow from sidewalks on departmental property, and performing janitorial service in departmental buildings. 7. Operates a variety of manually operated auxiliary equipment such as air hammer and tamper, in conjunction with heavier equipment on various maintenance, repair and construction projects. 8. Holds slow/stop sign and directs traffic around road maintenance, repair, or construction site. 9. Operates power equipment and uses hand tools to cut trees and brush and clean-out culverts, operates or feeds chipper, treats stumps after brush cutting. 10. Operates loaders and loads Class A equipment with materials such as gravel, broken concrete or asphalt paving material, dirt, and snow, drives truck and hauls load to predetermined site, manipulates controls and dumps load. 11. Performs a variety of routine maintenance work such as oil change, grease job, and change blades. May also perform minor repairs. 12. Maintains reports on work projects including work accomplished, time, materials used and equipment involved. 13.
