Your Role in Our Mission: • Use pulse welder to assemble fabricated metal assemblies. • Produce strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent. • Follow the required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly process. • Weld vertical, flat, and overhead with good penetration. • Maintain/produce a level of output that will minimize production delays. • Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operation to the appropriate personnel. To Perform this Job Successfully: • Good communication skills. • Math skills including fractions and angles. • Ability to read a tape measurer and angle finder. • Ability to read and understand blueprints and cut lists. • Maintain a positive sense of teamwork, including the ability to maintain regular attendance. Job Profile The company is seeking a Pulse Welder who will weld metal parts together using specified wire welding processes. Position: Fabrication Tech/ Part-Time Location: Manning - Free Resume Builder Fabrication Tech JOB DESCRIPTION Summary/ Objectives The Fabrication Tech fabricates raw metal into assemblies using tools such as welders, plasma cutters, shears, saws, lathes, metal workers, etc. Team members fabricate, inspect, debur, and perform general paint prep steps on clean metal. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Operates fabrication shop and machine shop machinery and equipment. Reads blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements. • Builds jigs to specific lengths and correct measurements. • Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. Examines weld for bead size and other specifications. • Cleans or degreases weld joint or workpiece. Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes. Prepares broken parts for welding by grooving or scarfing surfaces. • Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from the workpiece. Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter. • Positions and clamps work pieces together or assemble them in jig or fixture. • Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies or work pieces. • Sets up and performs maintenance on fab and machine shop machines and performs burning work. • Occasionally, may position the workpiece against stops or align layout marks with die or blade. • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. • Complies with all OSHA and PCE safety rules. • Operates any equipment needed to perform a job. • Accurately records time worked and allocates time to the appropriate job(s).
