ABS WELDER MANAGER/FOREMAN

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated ABS Welder Foreman to oversee our welding operations and lead a team of welders. The ABS Welder Foreman will be responsible for coordinating workflow, ensuring quality standards are met, and providing guidance and training to welding personnel. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in ABS welding, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and supervise ABS welding operations to ensure production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained. • Lead a team of ABS welders, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations. • Train new welders on ABS welding techniques, safety protocols, and company policies and procedures. • Monitor work progress and identify opportunities for process improvements or efficiency gains. • Inspect welded components for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed. • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. Requirements: • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in welding is preferred. • Proven experience as an ABS Welder with demonstrated leadership skills. • Expertise in ABS welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding, and familiarity with welding equipment and tools. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members. • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a commitment to quality and safety. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly. Welder - Solid Waste

Department:Solid Waste Department Organizational Unit:Disposal Position Type:Permanent Full Time/Part Time:Full Time Open Until Filled. $20.47 to $22.52 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/Central Disposal Facility/Travels Countywide. Work schedule is variable and includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs skilled crafts and trades work in the use of acetylene and/or electric arc welding equipment for welding metal parts together or for flame cutting, as specified by layout, diagram, work order, or verbal instructions. REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) years of experience in the welding trade. Successful completion of coursework in welding at a post-secondary school may be substituted on a year for year basis for a maximum of one (1) year (1,080 class hours [1 school year] = 1 year of experience; 120 class hours = 1 month of experience). Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a valid Florida Class B Commercial driver's license with airbrake endorsement, and maintain said license during the term of employment.
