The Welder position is a full-time role based in Ormond Beach, Florida, where you will be responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products according to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction. In this role, you will perform various welding operations, including MIG welding of copper and aluminum, TIG welding of aluminum, stainless, and carbon steel, as well as silver brazing. You will be tasked with fabricating production parts by following blueprints and schematics, setting up and operating welding equipment, and verifying the conformance of welded parts to specifications. Additionally, you may fabricate replacement parts for machines and prototype parts for engineering, process inspections, certifications, and documentation, and perform maintenance on welding equipment as needed. Safety and housekeeping duties of the work area are also essential components of this role, along with the ability to work overtime as scheduled. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a successful demonstration of welding techniques and at least one year of experience in various forms of welding. Proficiency in assigned welding techniques, interpretation of mechanical drawings, knowledge of wire and filler materials applications, and a working knowledge of fixturing and weld setup parameters are crucial for success in this role. Main Responsibilities: • Manually guide welding gun along weld line to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molted puddle. • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions. • Apply filler rod manually to supply weld metal. • Clean or degrease weld joints or work piece(s). • Repair broken or cracked parts and fill holes. • Prepare broken parts for welding by grooving or scarfing surfaces. • Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in jig or fixture. • *Required Qualifications: • At least 6 months of experience welding in the gas distribution industry, preferably TDW. • Must have your own welding rig. • Associate’s degree or completion certificate from two-year college or trade school.
