Welder and Fabricator

• Must be able to fit, lay-out and fabricate structures/metal components • Temporarily tacks metal components/parts into place, then ‘fits’ them into proper position • Once fitting is complete permanent weld is completed on metal component • Performs any range of difficult and unusual hand fitting and welding operations • Plans operations, selects sets and prepares welding equipment supplies and materials • Position fits and clamps units for tack and permanent welds • Performs required tests, clean welds and moves materials and units as required Required Qualifications: • Mastery of MIG and Flux Core welding techniques • 3 + years of experience • Must be able to work directly from blueprints Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temporary Pay: From $20.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Life insurance • Vision insurance Shift: • 8 hour shift • Evening shift • Rotating shift Work Location: In person

MIG Welder/Fabricator

Proman Skilled Trades is currently looking for a skilled Mig/Tig Welder/Fabricator in the Orlando, FL area. You will be working in the shop. • We are looking for a technically skilled welder with good attention to detail. Will weld galvanized, aluminum, black iron, 304 and 316 stainless steel with TIG & MIG procedures as well as STICK • Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine how and where to fabricate, assemble and install sheet metal ductwork. • Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to ensure safety and a seamless appearance. • Install assemblies, including pipes, HVAC ductwork, exhaust stacks, etc. • Ensure that efficiency is maximized while fabricating and installing HVAC systems. • Verify the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used in projects according to specifications. • Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and installing and welding ductwork. • *Pay depends on experience** Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Vision insurance Shift: • 10 hour shift • 8 hour shift Experience: • MIG welding: 3 years (Preferred) Ability to Commute: • Orlando, FL 32833 (Preferred) Work Location: In person

Salary Range $19.14-$24.40 Job Posting End Date - Applications will no longer be accepted starting 06-20-2025 Job Summary Starting Salary • Welder I $19.14 - $24.40 • Welder II $20.29 - $25.86 Performs skilled welding and metal work. Is responsible for performing a variety of welding and metalworking tasks involving the fabrication, alteration, reconditioning, repair, and/or maintenance of metallic parts and equipment. Work is performed under the supervision of a technical supervisor. Work is reviewed while in progress and upon completion through observation and inspection of results obtained. Minimum Qualifications: Welder I High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and three (3) years welding experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Florida Class "E" Driver's License required prior to employment. Formal or on-the-job training required as followsMild Steel, Welder Helper (300 hours), and Shielded Metal Arc (300 hours). Must have a home phone or cell phone. Some positions may be required to pass an annual respirator physical; no facial hair allowed between the face and sealing surface of the respirator face plate. Welder II High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and six (6) years advanced welding experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must be certified by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Welding Society, Mid-Florida Technical School, or a qualified private welding school. Florida Class B CDL with Air Brakes endorsement required prior to employment.
