MIG WELDER II JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled Mig Welders to join our team onsite at our manufacturing facility in Tifton, GA. The ideal candidates will have strong backgrounds in welding techniques, particularly Flux core MIG welding, and will be responsible for fabricating large metal assemblies. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints accurately to ensure high-quality work. HOURS Monday-Friday 7:30-5:00 PAY: From $27.00/hr RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform Flux Core MIG welding on various materials, ensuring strong and precise welds. • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively in the welding process. • Conduct pipe cutting and threading as required for specific projects. • Collaborate with team members to rig and assemble components for installation. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the welding process, applying basic math skills as needed for measurements and calculations. • Communicate effectively both verbally and written • Manage time efficiently • Adhere to OSHA safety protocols REQUIREMENTS • Proven experience as a MIG Welder with 7 years of documented experience • Must be able to pass a D1.1 welding test • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various power tools. • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical specifications accurately. • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. • A commitment to safety standards and practices in the workplace. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical diploma or certificate in welding or a related field preferred. QUALIFICATIONS: If you apply for this position, you must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for an employer sponsored visa (work permit). PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess mobility to work in a standard manufacturing setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory to operate a motor vehicle and forklift; stand, walk, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds. Welders may also need to work in tight or cramped spaces, climb ladders or scaffolding, and operate machinery or equipment. It's important for welders to be in good physical condition and have the necessary strength and stamina to perform their job duties safely and effectively. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to various outdoor and indoor environments. Temperature variances, high noise levels, and dusty environments may be encountered.
