Job Title: Certified Welder Job Type: Full Time Outage Work $24 to $34 Type: Structural, Overlay and Pressure Part Welders (Tube Welders and Mirror Welders) We are seeking a highly skilled and certified welder to join our team at Matrix Power Services to support our waste-to-energy power plant projects (and other projects). The ideal candidate will possess expertise in welding techniques and procedures specific to the unique demands of waste-to-energy facilities. Travel is Required. We have 4 locations on the east coast but travel all over the country. Responsibilities/Skills: • Perform welding tasks according to project specifications, including but not limited to pipe welding, structural welding, pressure Welding and fabrication of metal components. • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical plans to execute welding projects accurately and efficiently. • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. • Conduct inspections of welded joints and components to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications. • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to coordinate welding activities and meet project deadlines. • Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and repairs as necessary. • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in welding technology, and best practices to continuously improve skills and techniques. • Comply with regulatory requirements and environmental standards relevant to wastetoenergy power plant operations. Qualifications: • Certified welder with a valid welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) and a minimum of [1] years of experience in industrial welding. Waste – to - Energy experience preferred. oProficient in various welding processes, such as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and flux-cored arc welding (FCAW). • Experience working in waste-to-energy or similar industrial environments is preferred. oStrong understanding of metallurgy, welding metallurgy, and welding codes and standards. • Ability to operate welding equipment, including welding machines, torches, and related tools, safely and effectively. oExcellent attention to detail and craftsmanship, with the ability to produce high-quality welds consistently. • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information and collaborate with team members. • Flexibility to work in varying environmental conditions and willingness to work overtime or weekends as required by project schedules.
