The Welder will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and schematics, ensuring that all welding tasks meet industry standards and specifications. Responsibilities • Perform MIG, TIG, FCAW, and Stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment effectively to complete tasks. • Conduct fabrication tasks including assembly of components and ductwork installation. • Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials as needed. • Ensure compliance with ASME codes & standards during all welding activities. • Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure precision. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols. • Assist in rigging operations for heavy equipment and materials when necessary. • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines efficiently. Qualifications • Proven experience in welding with knowledge of various techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, Stick welding, and soldering. • Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices. • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters. • Experience in manufacturing environments with an understanding of basic math for measurements and calculations. • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for effective execution of projects. • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely. • Experience with pipe threading is preferred but not mandatory. • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
