Job description Job Summary We are a professional recruiting firm and we are seeking a skilled Welder to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 5+years of experience welding especially arc welding in various industrial environments and applications. About Our Client Our client is an independently owned company specializing in hydraulic cylinder replacement and repair for the elevator industry. The company has over 50 years of experience in the industry with projects spanning Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. Company Location: Arcadia, Florida but you will travel during the week including overnight assignments. Positives About the Job • Competitive hourly pay ranging from $28-$36 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. • Stable job with an established company. This is not a contract job. Our client is looking for a long-team member to join their team. • Regular overtime hours averaging 10-15 hours per week • Company Vehicle to use during travel for work assignments • A daily travel stipend is paid when on travel and all hotel accommodations are paid by the company. Negatives About the Job • The position will require frequent travel and will require travel to work away from the local home area 2-3 days away. • The work environment and job sites are not air conditioned. Your Job Duties • Perform arc welding on hydraulic elevator cylinders • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications. • Conduct quality checks on welded parts. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times Skills • Must be proficient performing arc welding tasks and pass an on-site welding test prior to receiving a job offer. • Strong mechanical knowledge. • Experience in blueprint reading for accurate interpretation of project requirements. • Ability to use calipers and other measuring instruments for quality assurance. • Competent in basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks. • Experience with hand tools and machining processes is a plus. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Full-time experienced TIG Welder (gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW)) needed for a high-end ornamental shop. Building custom railings, shutters, staircases, etc. Duties will also include fabrication and assisting with larger installation projects at job sites. A valid FL driver's license is a plus.
