• Prepare for classroom activities under the supervision of the Instructor. • Assist individual students with assigned work. • Guide independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work set up by the Instructor. • Set up Lab equipment. • Observe and monitor Lab work. • Assist with the supervision and education of students as requested by Instructor. • Assist students and staff in the efficient and productive use of time. • Maintain an accurate schedule of class work, data collection, and daily assignments for students. • Establish a positive relationship with students. • Effectively present and monitor the instructional tasks for the student as demonstrated by the Instructor. • Assist in preparing instructional materials and modifying tests and assignments. • Provide objective feedback to the teacher on student progress. • Assist in ensuring that all classroom activities conform to Center guidelines and safety regulations/policies. • Operate office equipment and perform clerical duties as requested by Instructor. • Maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of student and school related issues. • During student free days, this position will assist the maintenance staff with campus maintenance. • Before and after students arrive, there will be maintenance and lab duties on a daily basis. High school diploma or equivalent required. Current working knowledge of welding procedures necessary. Familiarity with and ability to operate classroom equipment.
