Job Description Fabricator of Structural & Architectural members, Welder is responsible for correct welding verification off of shop drawings and assembly of Common Members. Through the method of Layout / Fitting / Welding Beams, Columns, Trusses, Braces, Embeds, Trellis, Canopies, Stairs, Wall & Guardrails, as well as additional members that are contracted. Qualification’s • Follow Safety standards & Company polices. • Able to follow written & verbal direction, good communication with coworkers & supervisors. • Ability to work independently or in a team environment leading up to five team members. • Able to operate a forklift & overhead Crane or ability to obtain certification of such, through onsite training. • Physically Stand, walk, crouch, bend, kneel, climb, lift up to 50lbs , work in hot, cold, windy, wet/rain exterior & interior environment. • Ability to adapt to different tasks as directed, team oriented attitude. • Proficient in reading shop drawings, weld symbols, detail orientation views, grade of materials, ( Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum) Layout, fitting, welding. Butt/Fillet/Flare/Bevel/P.P/C.J.P, of Structural & Architectural Assembly's. • Architectural finishing ( Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum ) • Qualified Welder E71t1c-H8 duel shield, & E70s6 or ability to obtain inhouse Qualifications. TIG experience is a plus. • Knowledge of ADA, AISC, AWS D1.1 – D1.8 Standards is a plus. Structural Ornamental Journeyman Ironworker Welder Connector

LB Construction was founded in 1992 and is 100% Employee Owned. Job Summary: The primary responsibility of the Field Skilled Labor is to support the field operations of the Steel Division. Duties and Responsibilities: • Perform Assembly Inventory. • Ability to identify/perform steel members Center marks. • Moderate decking material handling. • Decking inventory and unloading of trucks. • Setup of wire welder to correct parameters. • Certified rigging. • Deck installation. • Bolt up with complicated connections. • Read and understand erection/shop drawings. • Moderate plumbing, aligning, and racking. • Intermediate level field fabrication/layout for rail connections, base plate fixes, and gate hinge fixes. Skills and Abilities: • Ability to work independently and be detail oriented, and have problem solving capabilities • Must be able to follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment • Ability to be flexible and work effectively in a fast-paced environment • uyhReport to work daily and on time prepared with tools and PPE • Ability to identify steel members and material. • Grinding/Cut Wheel operation. • Bolt up with Basic/Simple connections. • Ability to identify basic rigging equipment. • Forklift certification. • Ability to operate a cutting torch. • Ability to ‘walk’ 1st floor up to 15’ harnessed. • Ability to pass AWS D1.1 Spot Welding Test, deck single and double layer E6022 and E7018. • Ability to setup stick welder to correct parameters. Refer to LB-WPS • Ability to Pass AWS D1.1, D1.3, 3G, and 4G certification E71T-11 (Lincoln Nr211) Non-Structural. • Ability to read and understand weld symbols per the LB Weld WPS sheet. • Ability to reach and understand erection/shop drawings at a beginner level. • Ability to shoot studs for metal decking. • Ability to obtain Aerial Lift Certification. • Ability to install bar joists/girders/steel members. • Ability to Pass AWS D1.1 3G & 4G certification E71T-T8 (Lincoln Nr232). Education and Experience: • Minimum of 5 years of field welding experience • Minimum of 4 years experience is required in a labor or construction industry. Travel Requirements: • Willingness to travel as necessary to other job locations and out of town. Physical Requirements: • Availability to report to different shift schedules as needed • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. • Must be able to navigate active jobsites. This includes being able to safely walk stairs, scaffold, and uneven ground, as well as duck and maneuver around obstacles.
