GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION The Fabricator generally works on the Shop Floor and performs tasks assigned by the Shop Supervisor. The Fabricator is responsible for manufacturing finished components while achieving safety, quality, and delivery objectives. They achieve this by following written work instructions, operating equipment and machines, fitting and tacking of assemblies, production welding using multiple processes, and ensures effective communication with team members. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FABRICATION · Maintain a safe, compliant, clean and productive work environment · Perform daily operations using tool and equipment such as: forklift, grinders, bevellers, portable hand tools, saws, and measuring instruments, to fabricate projects as needed. · Competently set-up and adjust welding machines in GMAW, GTAW, and FCAW, to produce high quality welds. · Interpret and follow written work instructions and drawings with minimal supervision. · Conduct routine troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs of the machines and supporting equipment.
