Bruce Olson Construction Steel Division is currently looking for a Welder/Fabricator for immediate hire. The ideal candidate will be dependable, and detail oriented with reliable transportation. The candidate must be able to be added to the company auto insurance policy, pass a drug and background check. We are a one stop shop for Structural Steel, Ornamental Steel, and Sheetmetal forming. Primarily working on Bruce Olson Custom built homes. Duties and responsibilities. Welding certifications in FCAW-G and/0r FCAW-S (FCAW) are required for structural jobs. Ability to get certified on the job is available. Tig and Hard wire Mig processes are used regularly as well. Must be able to interpret blueprints and manufacturer's specifications. An ability to be artistic on special projects is a plus. Ability to learn/use CNC machines for Sheetmetal forming Ability to learn/use CNC machines for plasma cutting Ability to learn/use CNC machines Water jet cutting Ability to complete tasks efficiently with attention to detail. Ability to follow the leads instructions and work as a team with coworkers. Use equipment and tools properly and safely. Operate heavy equipment such as Gradall, forklift, genie boom, etc. Qualifications and Requirements Must be able to walk, stand, bend, lift, use hands for 8 hours Must have reliable transportation in order to get to the jobsite OSHA 10 required for permanent employment Additional Position Details Full time, 40 Hours per week, 8 hrs per day, M-F Main shop location is Verdi, NV. You will be required to work at jobsites in the Lake Tahoe areas. Transportation to and from Verdi to the jobsite is in company vehicles. Applicant should expect to be exposed to construction site conditions including rough terrain, ladders, equipment noise, and heights as well as local climate and weather.
