Seeking candidates for a structural and ornamental steel detailing position. We are a metal fabrication shop located in Heber City, UT. We work on a wide range of projects including custom steel staircases, railings, structural steel, and other various high-end residential construction projects in Summit and Wasatch Counties. We offer a wide range of capabilities to our clients. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our team and help expand our company. This is a growth opportunity. Candidates must be dedicated to quality craftsmanship and looking to build a career with our company. Currently in-house detailing all ornamental steel projects and looking to expand our capabilities to structural steel detailing in the future. We are open to utilizing different types of software. Our current steel detailers use a combination of AutoCAD, & Autodesk Inventor as well as other available Autodesk programs. We currently utilize a Trimble 3D scanner and work with cloud-point data in order to adjust steel to existing conditions. Familiarity with working with 3D scan data, Trimble products, and Autodesk ReCap is a plus. Responsibilities Include: • Working directly with contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure steel conforms with design • Collaborate with other steel drafting department staff and owners on a daily basis • Produce 3D models and meet with clients to review • Utilize screen shares and remote meetings to approve steel submittals and address design changes • Create shop drawings and CNC cut files for shop • Manage projects from start to finish in a timely and efficient manner Industry experience required for all positions with demonstrated industry knowledge. Pay dependent on experience and skills. Experience with steel detailing software including programs like Sketch-Up, Tekla, Revit, Advanced Steel, AutoCAD, or other steel detailing software.
