Responsibilities • Sort and organize steel assemblies according to drawings • evaluate the product to assure quality of parts • Follow specifications, inspect the product, and examine work for defects • Prepare and setup materials • Observe and follow safety procedures always meeting company policy and procedures • Maintain an organized workstation and be efficient with materials Required Qualifications • Prior welding experience- must be able to pass MIG 2G on 1"plate weld test • Previous experience in a machine shop, fabrication environment or other related fields beneficial • Must be willing to learn and be trained • Be familiar with hand and power tools particular to the welding industry • Must be able to handle a heavy workload and work overtime as needed Ability to work 10-12 hr shifts 5 days/week plus occasional Saturdays.
