Orbital Welder (Scotia)

Aerospace tubing manufacturer located in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire is seeking an Orbital Welder to join our manufacturing team. We fabricate precision welded and brazed tube assemblies for some of the largest aerospace companies in the world including Northrop Grumman, United Technologies, Rolls Royce and Lockheed Martin. Duties and Responsibilities • Following written work instructions and procedures in order to prepare titanium, stainless and inconel tubing and fittings for semi-automatic machine welding. • Perform basic preventative maintenance on welding machines and keep work area clean and organized. • Other duties as they are assigned. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications – • High school diploma or GED • Possess a high level of attention to detail. The ability to closely follow step by step work instructions is crucial. • Ability to work well as part of a team. • Prior experience using hand measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers is preferred, but not required. • The physical demands of this position required the employee to regularly stand and/or walk for the entire work shift. Occasional lifting of 10-25 pounds may also be required. • Prior welding experience is helpful, but not required. Willing to train the right person. About the position STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Manual Welder to join the team. This position involves welding and fabricating flexible and rigid tube assemblies composed of a variety of materials using both manual and automatic arc welding processes. The Manual Welder will be responsible for assessing welds to ensure they conform to visual and dimensional requirements, interpreting specifications, limitations, and intent, and communicating results through reports. Additionally, the role requires the positioning and clamping of components of fabricated metal products in preparation for welding. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a consistent, reliable work ethic, arriving on time and ready to contribute to the team. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the operations of the division.
