SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE The CM&W Welder will Assemble and weld metal parts in production, using welding equipment, requiring advance skills and knowledge of welding techniques while complying with all company and safety policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Welds metal parts together per print and if specified, spot welding as required. MIG or TIG welding equipment. 2. Adjust welder for type and gauge of material to be welded per recommended settings. 3. Follow drawing for welding position and specification of welds. Welder Level I: Acceptably weld parts to print specification with some supervision. Able to read prints. Welder Level II: Duties of Level I, plus Class One certified Proficient in MIG or TIG welding. Job Title: Welder Jobsite Location: Hannibal, Missouri Job Description This position is for a welder specializing in large industrial-sized heaters. The role primarily involves performing TIG welding on stainless steel, along with MIG and PAW welding as required. Additionally, the welder will assist in the building and assembly of parts and equipment when necessary. Pay: 20-22/hr (Based off Weld Test) Responsibilities • Prepare materials and parts according to welding specifications. • Setup and operate equipment needed to cut, stamp, bend, and form metal parts and materials for welding. • Read engineered blueprints and drawings to weld customized parts together. • Perform TIG, MIG, and PAW (Plasma Arc) welding on stainless steel, including welding parts, vessels, and enclosures. • Weld flat, cylindrical, or irregular parts by positioning bolts, clamps, and tack welding to secure position prior to welding. • Examine welds for bead size and other specifications. • Test completed products for welding reliability and completeness; clean, re-weld, grind, and finish welding as needed. • Assist in the building and assembly of equipment and machinery parts as required. • Collaborate with engineers on new product development. Essential Skills • 3-5 years of MIG welding experience. • 1-2 years of TIG welding experience. • 1-2 years of PAW experience. • Ability to perform vertical and horizontal welds. • Proficiency in reading engineered blueprints and drawings for customized products. • Experience examining welds for bead size and specifications. • Capability to setup and operate welding equipment and related machinery. • Willingness to assemble and build manufactured parts. • Ability to collaborate closely with the engineering team and test completed products for welding reliability. Additional Skills & Qualifications • 3-5 years of experience welding on customized products is preferred. • Experience in assembling large industrial manufactured parts and equipment is advantageous.
