We strive each day to better serve our customers and employees.Position Overview:Welding candidate will be working mostly outdoors in industrial construction environments, preforming a variety of tasks depending on the needs of the job scope. Welder will be expected to set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment in a safe manner, with all safety devices always in use. Candidate will also be expected to service a variety of machines within the industrial setting to keep plant in continuous production. Chosen candidate must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather or in buildings without heating or air conditioning, and will have a Safety First mindset at all times.Responsibilities and Duties:Promote safe workplace by participating in safety training, identifying job hazards, wearing correct PPE, and observing for oneself and others.Take care of company owned or rented equipment returning in like manor.Participate and apply oneself while in training and when being mentored.Assist in insulation, scaffold building, industrial cleaning, job site cleanup, and preparation.Use hand tools safely.Weld various metals using electric, gas, arc, etc.Inspect angles, gap allowances, and use precision measuring instruments.Use a grinder, hand file, or other tools to remove rough spots from work piece.Cut materials using tools to size to ensure adequate fit and quality of wlds.Work in various weather conditions, in various settings.Completion of various other duties as assigned.Prove proof of completed OSHA 10, or higher, within 60 days of original hire date.Qualifications:Education and Experience5 or more years of welding experienceStrong math skills in relation to basic math, algebra, and geometry.Knowledge of basic tools and their applicationsAbility to pass weld tests, such as x-ray or hydrostaticKnowledge of different welding positions, procedures, and safety equipment.(Preferred) Advanced knowledge of various types of scaffold builds, such as independent access, birdcage, hanging, truss out, and tower.Personal CharacteristicsAbility to follow all safe work proceduresAbility to work in various weather conditionsAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to work at above ground elevations while wearing a harness and other protective equipmentGood hand-eye coordinationAbility to lay out projects and execute in an effective manner.Excellent communication skillsAdaptable in methods used to complete taskWilling to go the extra mile for the teamMotivated to learn new skills and tradesFollows directions of manager / lead / superintendent and clarifies responsibilities if neededRespects self, co-workers, managers, company, other contractors, and clients.Shows up on time ready to complete workPhysical AbilitiesMust be able to fulfill essential job functions in consistent state of alertness and in a safe mannerMust be able to lift and move up to 50lbs regularlyMust be able to climb ladders repetitivelyAbility to perform physically demanding work for 8+ hours a day, including prolonged standing and walking, bending, and twisting.Must be able to perform welding duties in numerous positions, such as flat, vertical, or overhead positions.Ability to complete tasks such as loading, un-loading, cleaning, shoveling, and painting.Ability to safely perform duties related to confined space work.CertificationsN/ALicensesN/ABenefits: Company Paid Health and Life InsuranceVoluntary VisionVoluntary DentalVoluntary Critical Illness and Group Injury Insurance401K (Company Match of 3%)Tuition Reimbursement
