Responsibilities • Facilitate welder training programs • Participate in engineering design reviews and manufacturing reviews • Develop welding procedures • Troubleshoot welding equipment as needed • Solve weld quality issues • Specify and order new equipment as required • Participate in Automation projects • Attend weld quality team meetings Educational Requirements • B.S. in Welding Engineering or related degree • CWI certification preferred Skills and Abilities • Knowledge of national welding codes such as AWS D1.1, AWS B2.1, AWS D9.1 • Understanding of GMAW, GTAW, SW, ERW welding processes • Robot programming skills a plus • Hands-on problem-solving ability • Prioritization and independence • CAD experience including AutoCAD and Inventor • Microsoft Office proficiency including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
