Structural Welder Must have ceramic backing strip experience and pulse arc. Working 40 to 48 hrs/wk, after 40 hrs time and a half will be paid. Long Term Work! Job Description: A FCAW 3G/4G Structural Welder welds together structural metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions. The requirements for the position are as follows: Must have FCAW 3G/4G Structural welding experience and ceramic backing strip experience. Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a hands-on 3G/4G FCAW 3G/4G Structural welding test with the 3G position welded with uphill progression with ceramic backing and 4G entirely in the overhead position. Job Title: Lead Worker (Structural Welder) Location: Pascagoula, MS Job Overview: The Lead Worker (Structural Welder) supervises the activities of a group of hourly welders. Key Responsibilities • Utilizes knowledge of the working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials, including the specifications of the equipment to be used in the welding process. • Performs tank testing and associated duties as required. Qualifications • At least Five (5) years of assembly/prefab Structural Welder experience. Prior supervision experience is preferred. • Previous supervisory experience is a plus. Skills And Abilities • Basic knowledge of welding-specific processes and techniques in addition to being familiar with standard marine practices and general specifications for construction. • Experience in structural fabrication and the ability to read/understand drawings is required. • Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, work well with others, and have the ability to plan/schedule craft-specific work tasks • Must have a strong focus on quality, production, safety, and environmental aspects of work being performed.
