This Position is for a Welder with a work location in Brookhaven, MS. Job Description JOB DETAILS Base Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday Duties and Responsibilities This position engages in the full scope of MIG weld processes on a variety of structural steel including (but not limited to) rigid frame columns, rafters, pipe, beam canopy rafters, small parts, clips, and special assemblies. Welded parts may include thin gauge, painted, or galvanized material. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of welding techniques and have a high attention to detail in a fast-paced production environment. Knows and understands all safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and about a manufacturing environment Responsible for coordination of welder settings, gun speed/travel and gas flow with observed condition of bead Ability to read a tape measure and blue prints to shop standard Ability to decide when adjustment or gun manipulation needs to be altered Ability to decide how much and what repairs to make for pin holes and burn through caused by auto welder Ability to train and teach proper welding procedures in accordance with manufacturing job procedures Ability to operate overhead crane and other lifting equipment Responsible for holding bead to specified shape, size and penetrations while maintain the quality of the product Responsible for keeping numerical and alphabetical sequences correct. Maintains continuous improvement practices in work area While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear Qualifications A minimum of one (1) year experience welding in a production environment or valid welding certification Ability to read blueprints and drawings Ability to obtain and maintain CWB and AWS welding certification in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands welding procedures Experience with forklift and/or overhead craneoperation a plus Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments Additional Information Site Address:4020 SW 449 St, Horseshoe Beach, Florida 32648 Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands? The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing welding tasks on various metal materials using TIG, MIG, and stick welding techniques. Job Description: Wastequip has an immediate opportunity for a Welder to support our Brookhaven, MS manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will be a MIG Welder with prior experience in a manufacturing environment. 1st shift: Mon-Fri: 6:00AM to 4:30PM. Pay Rate: $18.61 Responsibilities • Positions parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks • Lays out, positions, and tack welds work pieces • Welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines • Connects regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders for cutting torch. Turns regulator valves to activate flow of gases, lights torch, and adjusts gas mixture and pressure to obtain desired flame.
