Use hand-welding and flame cutting equipment, such as gas welding, brazing, stick. Sand blast parts for welding and brazing operations. Build fixtures to hold parts for welding or brazing operations for fabricated sheet metal or copper parts. Regulate current and voltage for proper fusion of metals and select electrode type and size. Obtain maximum brazing strength and avoid distortion. These duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive and will be supplemented as necessary. Welder positions start at $18.00 to $20.00/hour (please note: the 2nd shift differential is $1.00/hour; 3rd shift differential is $1.25/hour).
