We’re looking for a MIG Welder to become an integral part of our team. The welder will use specialized equipment to weld and assemble new portable truck scales and supporting equipment. Responsbliities: Follow blueprints to meet product specifications Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products Install and repair various equipment and components Calculate material measurements to verify specifications Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance Responsible for maintaining a clean and secure work environment Work Structure: Reports to Shop Supervisor 40-hour work week with time and a half pay for overtime Paid Weekly Must be able to get to and from work every day on time and ready to work Drug test required before hire and periodically New hire will be on a 90-day probation period. Superior work performance will result in a $2.50 increase per hour, while poor work performance will result in termination. Requirements: Previous experience in MIG Welding, manufacturing, or other related fields Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs Ability to work overtime as needed Must be comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and in an extreme temperature/noise environment Must be able to frequently climb, kneel, lift, crawl, crouch, and stand Must pass a hands-on weld test to demonstrate skill level Qualifications: Must be familiar with MIG Welding tools and procedures Strong working knowledge of weld defects, prep work, and machine setup Must be familiar with reading engineering blueprints and schematics High school diploma or equivalent required Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to pass a background check Company DescriptionMaxi-Load Scale Systems, Inc is a small close-knit team of welders, fabricators, administrators, and management. Founded in 1998, we have been building portable truck scales for over 27 years. We build a very dependable product. The first unit built-in 1996 still weighs trucks today. Our steel is delivered plasma cut. We fabricate on precision jig tables, paint and test the scales. Once sold we deliver and install the unit. Our welders and fabricators normally do not travel. They work Monday through Friday and are off on the weekends. Sometimes overtime is required. All overtime is paid at 1 1/2 times the hourly rate.
