Job Title: Welder Location: Jefferson,GA Employment Type: Full-Time Pay Frequency: Weekly Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Welder to cut, join, and repair metals and other materials at our facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the strength and integrity of mechanical structures. The ideal candidate will have precision, steady hands, and strong attention to detail, along with a solid understanding of different metals and their properties. Safety is a top priority, and adherence to all safety precautions is required. Key Responsibilities • Determine appropriate welding equipment or methods based on project requirements. • Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for welding. • Align components using calipers, rulers, and clamps. • Perform welding using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead). • Repair machinery and components by welding and filling gaps. • Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to identify any flaws. • Maintain welding equipment in optimal and safe working condition. Required Skills & Qualifications • Experience with various welding equipment and procedures (MIG, MMA, etc.). • Ability to operate electrical and manual tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.). • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and blueprints. • Knowledge of safety standards and commitment to using protective gear (face shield, gloves, etc.). • Strong attention to detail and precision.
