TAOS - Apprentice Electrician - Solar Photovoltaic (PV) & EV Charging PPC Solar Location Taos Posted date 3 days ago Minimum level N/A Employment type Full-time Job category Technicians / Service Tasks and work activities - a guide but not limited to Assist Leads with planning & preparation for each PV & EV installation Load tools, equipment, and materials into vehicles for each project; maintain vehicle inventory Carry equipment up ladders, on roofs, and over uneven ground safely Perform Construction related tasks relevant to the PV or EV installation (i.e. hand digging, assisting with concrete pours, etc) Layout and assemble solar modules on racking according to plans Mount electrical equipment and conduit according to plans & Lead Electrician direction Pull wire and wire equipment under the guidance of Lead Electrician Drive company vehicles to and from job site Complete work in a timely fashion, with integrity, attention to detail and according to the NEC and IBC Track and report all project related time, materials, and mileage Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse, work areas, yard, and vehicles Stay current on product training required for equipment being installed Participate in project coordination meetings as needed Assist Lead with project documentation as directed (project photos, record serial #'s, etc) Qualifications Ability to take direction & ask questions Ability to work as a team member & think resourcefully Experience with the safe use of hand tools (socket wrenches, drills, hammers, etc) Ability to use various computer applications and understanding of technology Ability to communicate in a professional, effective manor GED / HET required Prior PV experience, construction, or roofing experience a plus Working conditions Outdoors in the elements (i.e. roof in the hot sun, snow, etc) Occasional crawl spaces & attics (i.e. spiders, mice droppings, etc) Physical requirements Ability to work outside in the elements Ability to lift 40 lbs Ability to operate basic hand tools (wrenches, drill, hammer, etc) safely Ability to work in a squatting, standing, twisted, and stretched position Ability to climb ladders, work on roofs safely, and walk on uneven surfaces Company Description Paradise Power Company, Inc (PPC) is New Mexico and Southern Colorado's premier solar electric, EV charging, and energy storage installation professional.
