Solar Service Technician

Description Photon Brothers is bringing the next generation of solar panels, battery backups, and EV home charging stations to our customers in Colorado and California. We are looking for a motivated Solar Technician to join our team! The Service Technician manages, schedules, and completes all service and warranty related work. This role is responsible for driving to customer’s solar sites and providing corrective maintenance to solar energy systems, ensuring energy systems are fully operational. Responsibilities • Organizes, leads, and maintains the warranty and service schedule • Works with the Regional Director and Service Manager to allocate labor resources to service and warranty projects • Respond to corrective maintenance cases on solar PV systems, energy storage systems, and updating online case logs accurately • Reliably respond to open case directions and provide data where requested, often driving to customer’s residences to fix system issues • Prioritize conflicting work requests and escalations • Respond to customers’ concerns with the performance or functionality of their system • Supports training and development for Service Technicians • Leads regular meetings to align and train the local field service team on best practices • Supports the on-boarding and training of new members of the field performance team • Regularly exceeds defined goals for field performance key performance indicators including but not limited to turnaround time, experience rating and average dispatches completed Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent • 2+ years field construction or solar experience required • PV design or PV electrical experience is preferred. • Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred. • Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds, climb ladders, be comfortable on a roof of varying pitches, and work in various weather conditions • Proven track record of excellent customer service • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Strong computer skills • Working knowledge of current NEC codes • Proven ability to meet deadlines and key metrics • Works independently, as a team player, and drives results in a fast paced, team based environment. • Solid logical decision making and troubleshooting skills with the ability to problem solve in a timely and effective manner • Exercises good judgment • Must be 21 and be able to pass a MV check Description Photon Brothers is bringing the next generation of solar panels, battery backups, and EV home charging stations to our customers in Colorado and California.
