Solar Technician

Responsibilities: • Diagnose and resolve faults on solar equipment as they relate to mechanical and electrical problems • Perform pad mounted Transformer switching in accordance with all Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures • Perform corrective tasks on solar equipment • Work as scheduled during the week and on call as required by manager • Maintain a high level of safety awareness at all times • Work in an outdoor environment for an extended period of time • EH&S Documentation • Complete necessary paperwork (work order, timesheet, tool and PPE inventory, and additional paperwork as necessary) • Complete necessary Pre-Job-Briefs Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED required; Advanced Technical Training is a plus. • Valid driver's license is mandatory. • 1-4+ electrical and/or solar experience. • Proven experience in solar energy maintenance preferred, with additional years of electrical experience strongly desired. • Knowledge of high-voltage systems and substation maintenance is highly advantageous. • Proficiency in using mechanical and electronic testing equipment, such as voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, and various hand and power tools. Additional Skills: • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. • Willingness to work outdoors in varying conditions and travel as necessary.
