Inventory Control Specialist - Solar and Wind • Location(s): Uvalde, TX, US, 78801 RWE Clean Energy, LLC To start as soon as possible, full time, permanent Functional area: Operations & Maintenance Remuneration: Non-Exempt The Inventory Control Specialist - Solar and Wind falls under the Operations organization through the Operations Optimization department reporting through Plant Logistics and Maintenance to an Inventory Control Supervisor. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for the master data accuracy supporting the solar inventory, ensuring the right part is available at the time, and assisting site operations with managing warranty claims. Role Responsibilities: • Create Purchase Requisitions for all goods needed for site and Balance of Plan (BOP) operations and maintenances in region • Perform all inventory movements in SAP • Ability to support multiple sites without assistance • Perform Quarterly counts and maintain accurate inventory level percentages • Analyzes product usage and adjusts MRP as appropriate with operations consent to optimize inventory levels • Learn and be proficient with the Product Life Cycle Management process. • Strong safety culture mindset • Reviews open orders from suppliers and communicates ship dates to necessary parties (risk report) • Keep accurate master data information uploaded • Request new part creation and extensions as needed • Support adequate record of all inventory levels at assigned locations in SAP MM and accurate bin locations • Is familiar and remains current regarding the necessary parts and material for maintenances at responsible sites • Performs monthly inspections and observations at perspective site(s) • Is a liaison between OEM and Site operations for sites under warrantyManages warranty claims for sites under warranty Job Requirements and Experiences: • High School diploma required. Associates or higher degree in business or technical preferred • Minimum 2 years experience in Material Management in SAP MM or similar maintenance system • Minimum 3 years experience in Inventory and warehouse management • Drive Forklift, Telehandler, similar machinery • Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills • Candidates should be highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to interact effectively and professionally with various levels of personnel and departments, vendors and able to thrive in a fast-paced deadline driven environment • Promote safety for all at all times • Able to work with minimum supervision and make decisions for all issues related to his/her discipline(s) with limited and/or available information • Strong understanding of inventory processes, familiar with Excel and able to become certified and maintain the ability to operate a forklift and become CPR and first aid certified. The Role CCR is seeking a highly motivated candidate with utility-scale solar experience to perform required preventative maintenance activities on solar PV systems. The Field Service Technician (Level 3) will also respond to corrective maintenance cases to troubleshoot, test, and repair PV systems ensuring they are following safe practices while working Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Conducting on-site routine maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities • DC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, communication, insulation resistance testing, I-V curve tracing • Maintaining the vehicle, tools, meters and truck stock • Creating service reports and maintaining spare parts inventory • Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action to remove or eliminate hazards • Create operability and major issue/downtime reports • Respond on-call for emergencies as directed by your supervisor Preferred Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: • NABCEP Certified Installation Professional • 3-4+ years of experience PV maintenance, including PV DC operations, AC medium voltage systems, network communications and monitoring • Experience with operation of SCADA, DAS and UPS systems • Skilled in the use of testing equipment and tools such as Thermographic Electrical Inspection, IV Curve Tracing, Meggers, Ground Fault Detection • Experience in all aspects of PV maintenance, including DC systems, AC medium voltage systems, and network communications and monitoring • Diagnostic capabilities to troubleshoot and correct problems found • Knowledge of National Electrical Code and standard design/construction practices • Ability to read and understand electrical single-line and three-line diagrams • Proficiency with MS Office suite • Ability to take direction and complete tasks with minimal oversight • Valid Driver’s License • OSHA 10 HR Training • NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in workplace • Must have the ability to travel, work on-call during off-shift hours and weekends Physical Requirements/Work Environment: • Work is to be performed in the field and in the office. • Excellent attendance and punctuality • Understanding of and adherence to safety and quality procedures and practices • Positive project team attitude • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
