POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Electrician, the Solar Installer position job functions include reading plans, calculating material quantities, and choose the right tools and techniques for the job. Responsibilities include: • Prepare jobsite for solar installation • Assemble and install solar racking systems on ground mounts and on rooftop systems • Assist Electrician installing micro-inverters or power optimizers, including wire management of the solar arrays • Install solar panels • Operate equipment such as lifts and skid steers • Ensure policies and procedures are followed, work and safety standards are maintained • Maintain a high regard for safety for employees and general public • Other duties as assigned This position is full-time seasonal. BENEFITS Starting wage $23-$28/hour depending on experience. R etirement program including profit sharing. Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance. Paid vacation, sick, and holidays available immediately • Construction experience and/or solar installation experience is required. Electrical Engineer - Solar PV Specialty

HOURS / WEEK: 40 JOB SITE LOCATION: 6254 34th Ave NW, Suite A, Rochester, MN 55901 DUTIES : Gather preliminary information for each specific project. Verify that the solar equipment choices are correct for the intended design goals. Create high-quality system design documentation using AutoCAD, GIS software, PVSyst models product specifications, commissioning plans, test results, calculations, and other documents as necessary to communicate the project design to clients, AJHs and utilities, and ensure compliance with applicable codes. Prepare solar system designs which includes single-line electrical drawings, three-line electrical diagrams, site plans, mechanical racking and attachment plans, interconnection details and specification of BOS location. Apply NEC and NABCEP guidelines to create permit-ready, PV designs for residential and/or commercial systems. Perform complex electrical calculations for transformer ground fault currents, cable sizing, short circuit, voltage drop, load and demand calculations. Perform load analysis to determine electric usage for residential projects. Perform energy generation modeling for solar projects using Helioscope, PV Syst, PVWatts, and other necessary tools. Evaluate system performance and monitor system health and evaluate economic impact. Occasional work from home is permitted on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by manager in advance. Salary $91,000/year (depending on experience) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related degree field of study.
