What The Role Is Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Solar Groundman is responsible for vegetation maintenance and abatement. The primary objective is to ensure upkeep and appearance of outdoor environments, including grounds and landscaping at our solar sites. What You'll Be Doing • Conduct vegetation maintenance and abatement on solar power generation plants. • Maintains walkways, parking lots, and solar equipment by removing snow and ice. • Conduct routine maintenance and repair of vegetation management equipment including, but not limited to mowers, tractors, string-trimmers, hedge trimmers, rotary cutters, tractor implements, and hand tools. • Uses various hand tools and gas-powered tools to mow and maintain grass, rake leaves and get grounds ready for seasonal changes. • Ensure that all co-workers and contractors demonstrate safe work practices during the performance of facilities management activities. • Ensure that assigned vehicle, tooling, electrical devices, software, and company property are maintained. • Assisting solar technicians with routine and preventative tasks including but not limited to PV module changeouts & small and general electrical maintenance What You'll Bring • High School Diploma or GED • Must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record. • Clear understanding of safe workplace practices and procedure. • Must have the ability to travel to and from solar sites, work on-call during off-shift • If you don't meet 100% of the above qualifications but see yourself contributing, please submit your resume.
